A WEDDING
Did I tell you our daughter is getting married?
Did I tell you I am making all the florals?
Our daughter, Rachel, is getting married in October! We are so happy for her and her wonderful fiancé, Ramiro!
Rachel was not going to have me create for her wedding!
When Rachel told us she was getting married we discussed what kind of wedding she and Ramiro would like to have. A smallish affair with close family and friends with a Boho theme was their wish. Rachel and I discussed decor and she immediately told me that she didn’t want me to design her wedding. She didn’t want me to stress over all the details and such. Of course I agreed at first…..
I had a thousand questions!
After much discussion about her ideas of what the wedding would look like and my level of stress at not being in charge of the design, it was decided that I would create for her wedding! I am overjoyed at the opportunity to create a beautiful backdrop for her special day and that she is allowing me to do this for her is very special to me. I have created for other family members and love doing that but there is something special about creating for your daughter!
There were a thousand answers!
Once Rachel and Ram had decided on the theme of their wedding it was time to get down to the details. Colors were chosen, concepts were narrowed to a few and shopping had begun. I have to say that finding fall colors in the middle of summer, during a pandemic, with supply shortages, and longer than normal delivery times has been a challenge but we have been successful in finding just the right items!
I will be sharing a few details with pictures in upcoming blogs so I hope you will join me on this journey! Yes, I have Rachel’s permission! Hope to see you soon!
